Directions

By Car

3½ hours from Boston:

  • Take I-93 North into New Hampshire to I-89 North.
  • Follow I-89 North through New Hampshire and into Vermont, to Exit 9, Rt. 100 B, Middlesex/Moretown.
  • At the end of the ramp, turn left, and follow the signs to Rt. 100 B.
  • Follow Rt. 100 B South through Moretown Village.
  • When 100 B becomes Rt. 100 South, continue straight ahead and follow it south for three miles.
  • At the blue sign on the left for the wayside picnic area, turn left onto Tremblay Road. We’re on the left just ahead.

5½ hours from New York City:

  • Take I-95 North, or I-84 East, into Connecticut to I-91.
  • Take I-91 North through Massachusetts and into Vermont.
  • At White River Junction, take I-89 North, and follow it to Exit 9, Rt. 100 B, Middlesex/Moretown.
  • At the end of the ramp, turn left, and follow the signs to Rt. 100 B.
  • Follow Rt. 100 B South through Moretown Village.
  • When 100 B becomes Rt. 100 South, continue straight ahead and follow it south for three miles.
  • At the blue sign on the left for the wayside picnic area, turn left onto Tremblay Road. We’re on the left just ahead.

Via N.Y. Thruway:

  • Take the New York Thruway (I-87 North from New York City, or I-90 East from Buffalo) to Exit 24, Albany.
  • Beyond the tollbooth, stay right and take I-87 North.
  • Follow I-87 North to Exit 20, Rt. 149, Fort Ann.
  • Follow Rt. 149 East to U.S. Rt. 4.
  • Turn left onto U.S. 4 North and follow it into Vermont.
  • Stay on U.S. 4 East through Rutland and past Pico Ski Area.
  • Turn left onto Rt. 100 North.
  • Follow Rt. 100 North about 44 miles to Waitsfield.
  • About a mile past Waitsfield Village, just past Kenyon’s Farm Supply, turn right onto Tremblay Road.
  • We’re on the left just ahead.

2½ hours from Montréal:

  • Take Autoroute 10 East to Autoroute 35 South.
  • Autoroute 35 South becomes Route 133 South. Follow it into Vermont, where it becomes I-89 South.
  • Follow I-89 South past Burlington to Exit 10, Rt. 100, Waterbury/Stowe.
  • At the end of the ramp, bear right and follow Rt. 100 South.
  • At the roundabout, turn left and proceed through Waterbury Village.
  • Turn right onto Rt. 100 South, and go 7 miles to the intersection with
    Rt. 100 B.
  • Turn right and continue on Rt. 100 South for three miles.
  • At the blue sign on the left for the wayside picnic area, turn left onto Tremblay Road. We’re on the left just ahead.
By Air

Burlington International Airport is about an hour northwest of us, off I-89. It has direct flights from New York (JFK and LaGuardia), Newark, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Orlando, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Washington, D.C. (National and Dulles).

Amtrak’s Vermonter makes a daily run to Vermont from Washington, D.C., and New York, stopping at Montpelier and Waterbury.

Greyhound makes several trips a day between Boston and Montréal, stopping at Montpelier.
